Public libraries,airports,net cafes,shopping malls....everywhere public pc's are available.We use them and get our work done..Then,what about the safety while using them???
So,in this post I will discuss the safety tips that have to be followed while using a public pc.
- Always it's better to browse in New Private Window(in firefox) or New Incognito Window(in google chrome) as they wouldn't save any browsing history,cookies,temporary internet files.After the browsing close the private window.
- Always use virtual keyboards while entering any login details,passwords etc., confidential information.
- To have more secured browsing take 'portable browser' along with you.But,how could this be possible? I will tell you,there are many portable browsers available in internet.Download any one of them and copy it into your USB drive.Whenever you are use a public pc connect the pendrive and run the portable browser.
Download google chrome portable edition.
- When you want to use messengers in public pc,it is better to use only the portable versions.Copy it into the pendrive and run it.
Download MSN meesenger.
- To access social media through USB,use the 'TweetDeck'.
- Don't forget to delete the files that you have downloaded in public pc's.To prevent the recovery of deleted files use 'UltraShedder' tool.You can copy it into the USB and can be used in any system.
After completing all your work,logout from all the services and close the browser.Permanently delete the downloaded files and restart the system so that data in the RAM gets deleted.
