Hello readers,
Just after the few weeks of the launch of Motorola Moto E in flipkart, which shaken the budget-phone world with the smartphone features offering just at Rs.7000/-., Micromax gave a stunning reply to Motorola by launching Unite 2 a106 in the same price range but with extra more features. As a result Unite 2 has been successful in turning out some of the cutomers to its side. But, Moto E has had its own market that has spread so widely which would be difficult for Micromax to beat. Setting these business aspects a side, let's have a detail inner view on these budget phones and we gonna compare them on the basis of features and the available reviews.
'We shall give one point to each phones for their wins in the corresponding sections(areas).'
STYLE
With its trademark curved back and dimpled chin Moto E looks stylish while Unite 2 has ordinary looking back panel. Moto E is available in 2 colors, white and black. Micromax Unite 2 is available in 4 different colors, white, grey, red and green. In this section Moto E is undoubted winner.

Unite 2: 0
DISPLAY
I don't think this needs an introduction as Moto E has a gorilla glass which is an extra protection when compared to that of IPS display in Unite 2 that has no such protection. Also Unite 2 lags behind Moto E(960x540) with 800x480 pixels. The only gaining point of Unite 2 is its bigger screen(4.7 inch) than that of Moto E which is only 4.3 inch. Coming to the ppi, Moto E wins it as it has 256 ppi and unite 2 has only 198 ppi. Clearly the small screen with more resolution and ppi makes display more elegant and better clarity. So, another point under Moto E's hood.

Unite 2: 0
HARDWARE
Unite 2 is powered by a quad-core chipset —1.3GHz Mediatek 6582M quad-core chipset, while the Moto E is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 Cortex-A7 dual-core processor. Although both processors are good at working, at the end of the day one may feel more comfort with Unite 2's performance. So, Unite 2 takes an edge with quad-core and gains a point.
Moto E: 2
Unite 2: 1
MEMORY
Both the phones have 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage which can be expanded to 32GB using a micro SD card. So, both are equal in this section and shares a point each.
Moto E: 3
Unite 2: 2
CAMERA
Although both phones have 5MP rear cameras, Moto E has got negative reviews regarding the camera because of its fixed focus camera also it is receiving complaints that the quality is as low as 3MP. On the other hand Unite 2 having a autofocus camera and flash, the camera is far better than that of Moto E. Also, Unite 2 has a 2MP front camera allowing users to take selfies and have video chats with their pals. The front camera is also good and is able to capture decent quality pictures. Infact, Moto E must be given a negative point. But game is game so, a point into Unite 2's pocket.
Moto E: 3
Unite 2: 3
SOFTWARE
Both of these budget phones run on latest version of Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, and they also guarantees an update(atleat one) on these phones. So, each gains a point.
Moto E: 4
Unite 2: 4
BATTERY
Unite 2 has 2000mAh battery and Moto E has 1980mAh battery. Both are nearly equal, and are offering decent battery backup. There are several mixed reviews on the battery backup of both the phones. One should note that the backup depends on the apps you install and amount of time you spend on playing games and using internet. So, a point to each of them.
Moto E: 5
Unite 2: 5
Conclusion..
Wrapping up, one can see that both of them have had their upper hand in some departments. While style and design are with Moto E, Unite 2 has better camera and processor. And battery and storage are same in both cases.
Let's take a look at the key features that each of these phones have..

Let's take a look at the key features that each of these phones have..
Moto E:
- Gorilla Glass.
- Stylish design.
- Better ppi.
- More resolution.
- Better camera.
- Large screen.
- quad-core processor.
- 21 Indian languages support.
According to me, if you are one such guy willing to have a good camera and interested in selfies then you must opt for Unite 2. Otherwise, if you are more concerned about the display and gorilla glass then go for Moto E. Apart from these, Moto E has only one plus point i.e., the brand Motorola but there's nothing great deal in the brand. If you are not worried about the brand, then Unite 2 is surely the best choice.
Micromax Unite 2 is successful in filling the scarcity of Moto E, as Moto E is available only in Flipkart. Also Moto E has got complaints on the loose back cover. Although the war between Moto E and Unite 2 seems to be interesting, Samsung is likely to enter the sub-Rs.7000/- range budget phone world in coming months. But, it's too late as both of these phones will sweep the market making the game more tougher for Samsung. Samsung has to come with more dashing features to get on the race.
